For those of you who do not yet know our new boat’s name, it is Raney Day Fun, a play on our last name. She was built in Viet Nam by Seawind Catamarans. The build completed a couple of weeks ago and a crew of three, captained by our trusty Seawind liaison, Phil, brought her safely to Pattaya.

Our boat has an AIS beacon on it which transmits coordinates, similar to how they track aircraft. If you know the MMSI number of a vessel, be it yachts or container ships, you can use that number to find the boat. We knew our boat had arrived in Pattaya when we used this location system to find our boat by its MMSI number which is 538072487. So, by clicking this link you see where in the world we are.

When we first saw her at the Ocean Marina, it was a VERY EXCITING moment for both of us. I dolled up the map a little so you can also see where our hotel is located (grey is land). We can walk from our hotel to the marina in about 10 minutes. We have not actually stepped foot on her yet, as she is getting some last minute touch-ups and a good scrubbing down after her maiden delivery voyage. Captain Phil said she handled the cruise very well.
