Getting from Bangkok to Pattaya was eventful. We were transported in the back of this pickup truck with our luggage on top for an hour and a half ride. Better than walking. Barbara tried to pass the time with a sing-a-long, only one toothless, tone-deaf individual would sing with her.

Maggie Choo’s is our home for the near future. We were not allowed to photograph the interior. When you are on a retirement budget, you have to make certain compromises. The good news is we were offered discounts on tattoos and massages. (Pretty nice benefit, huh?)

Don’t always believe what you see on the internet or brochure. This is the back side of our hotel. The interior is much better once you get adjusted to the smell.

Our neighbors. Lots of “services” in the neighborhood.

JUST KIDDING!! This is actually the entrance to our wonderful hotel Dor-Shada Resort by the Sea. It is not even in Pattaya, but a nearby area called Jomtien.

Right on the beach, with a lovely pool.

We had a great breakfast everyday. We could have American style omelets or Thai Style Holy Basil pork, or many other treats. Warisara was our hostess the entire time and made us feel right at home!
